Hello,

I am a 25 year old studying abroad in France. A few days ago I found a lump on my right breast. At first it was painful and red but lately it has stopped hurting and is just a hard, mobile lump that does not want to go away. It wasnt there at the same time as my period. I have never heard of a lump hurting and then not hurting anymore, could it just be because it was irritated from me touching it, or was it more likely an infection that is just healing? I don't know what to do, mainly because I'm stuck here in France.

Thanks so much

Actually, the European health care is better than in the states, its cheaper and easier for you to get health care in Europe than it would be over here in the US. I think you should have it checked out, and if your French isn't that good, you could ask someone along with you, or maybe ask a student counselor for help....I don't think you should take chances with unfamiliar lumps.

I agree with, its always best to get lumps checked out. If the lump is a "bad lump", its not going to wait for you to get back to the States. You should get it checked out as soon as possible.
