| Hi, I don't know if this post belongs here, but I'll post it here any way :) I was wondering, is it still possible to detect breast cancer if you've had your breasts enlarged? I mean, could I be able to detect it myself through the self-breast exam, and can doctors still see them through mammograms? |

| If you are planning to get a breast augmentation you should get a mammogram done before the operation. I was told this by my doctor, who said that it can be used as a reference for future mammograms. But breast implants do interfere with early diagnosis though. Even though a mammogram will detect breast cancer, even if you have implants, it might not always catch it at an early stage. I don't think that implants would be a good idea if you have a high risk of breast cancer. |
