Hi, I'm fairly young and know practically nothing about breast cancer. I hope someone can help me out on this.
A couple of months ago I woke up with a very painful, tender breast. Being the hypercondriact that I am, I went straight to the doctor to get a breast exam. My doctor seemed quite worried about it, and scheduled me for an ultrasound. The ultrasound eventually showed that I had two masses in my breast, a solid and liquid one; and the entire mass being over 2 centimeters in diameter. My doctor then sheduled me for a core biopsy to check for cancer. The core biopsy came back, and it turns out that the mass is a very bad infection, however benign, and had to be removed. After removing it they gave me an anti biotic and told me I should feel better soon. Now it only seems to have gotten worse, the lump never felt like it went away, and it gets so sore now, I have problems sleeping. The skin on my breast itches badly at times, and my nipple has flattened.
Please help!! Has anyone experienced something similar?? :crazy: |

You nee to go back to your doctor, even if you feel you are being over paranoid. The antibiotics might not have worked, and the infection might still be active.
im 27 and run a high risk of developing breast cancer. I have regular ultrasounds but its always in the back of my mind
i do reed up on breast cancer a lot and they say the majority of breast lumps turn out to be nothing at all

| I am a 4 yr survivor(yea me!),and although the cancer is gone(for now) I have excrutiating pain in my breasts.My doctor's have said that it is from nerve damage,most likely caused by the tumor. I have tried many nerve pain meds and have gotten no relief.Does anyone else have this pain and if so ,what are you doing for it?Thanks |
